Egypt’s Baha’is face more attacks from Salafists

| 19 February 2012 | Comments (40)

A Baha'i gathering in Egypt.

CAIRO: Egypt’s small Baha’i Faith community has faced attack upon attack in its less than 200 year existence in the country. The latest has come from prominent ultra-conservative Salafist leader Abdel Moneim al-Shahat, who called on the government to “protect itself” from the faith by denouncing the faith and calling its followers “blasphemous.”

“We will prosecute the Bahai’s on charge of treason,” said Shahat via telephone on Dream 2′s al-Haqiqa TV program.

“We as Salafists refuse to deal with Baha’is, because they do not exist by virtue of their faith.”

According to Shahat, Bahai’s are not entitled to rights under Islam because they are not recognized by the religion, and any new constitution should not include an amendment protecting their rights.

He cited previous Al-Azhar – the Sunni Islamic world’s most prestigious institution – rulings that said Baha’is are blasphemous.

The world’s newest monotheistic faith, and one that has been oppressed vehemently in Islamic countries, including Egypt, where in the early years of Gamal Abdel Nasser, Baha’i temples and places of worship were closed, and the Baha’i cemetery in the country largely destroyed, continues to face such attacks by the likes of Shahat and others in the country.

In 2009, the Egyptian Baha’i community hoped they had ushered in a new era for identification cards in the country after the first batch of the religious minority was granted new ID’s without a religion written on them. The move came after years of struggling against the state in order not to choose one of the “big three” religions Judaism, Christianity or Islam.

The new ID’s came months after an Egyptian court granted the Baha’i community the right not to list a false religion on the paperwork, something the small minority community had been pushing for in recent years after discrimination has been reported.

The lawsuit against the government was filed by a married couple, Hussam Izzat Musa and Ranya Enayat Rushdy, who wanted to add their daughters to their passports, which had listed the Baha’i Faith as their religion.

The couple won the initial case against the government, which granted them the ability to register their children in schools, receive marriage licenses, birth certificates and proclaim their faith on state identification cards.

“We were ecstatic about the case that allowed our community to be fully accepted Egyptians,” one married Baha’i man, after the initial court victory, told Bikyamasr.com.

His optimism was short-lived, however, as the government appealed and won, leaving the community struggling to find a place in Egyptian society.

Egyptians are forced to have religion noted on their identity cards. Previously, Baha’is were forced to choose between Islam, Christianity or Judaism in order to receive official documents, including birth certificates and passports. Many of them took their cases to court, claiming that they’d rather leave the religion slot blank than choose a religion other than their own. The court, initially, agreed, and said they could leave the category blank in a move widely praised by religious advocacy groups in the country.

The Baha’i Faith is the most recent, established in 1863, monotheistic religion. It originates from Iran and believes in the progressive revelations of God. Baha’is believe that all religions are true and from God, but that at different times throughout human history, a new manifestation (prophet) is needed in order to adapt to the changing times and cultural traditions.

The main conflict between Muslims and Baha’is is in the idea that Mohamed is not the final prophet of God, which has led to Muslims distrusting Baha’is.

In December 2003, Al Azhar Research Academy, the most authoritative Sunni institution in the world, issued a fatwa against the Baha’i Faith. It stated that Islam does not recognize any religion other than those that the Holy Qur’an has asked to be respected. The fatwa specified the Baha’i Faith, stating that the “Baha’i creed and its likes are intellectual epidemics that should be fought and eliminated by the state.”

Now, one year on from an uprising that left the country optimistic and hopeful, there still remains some of that hope in the small community of the religious minority.

“We do feel that things will get better in the coming months and years despite the rise of the Salafists,” said teacher Kamal, also Baha’i. He told Bikyamasr.com between drags on his shisha, or water-pipe, that “we are all Egyptians, whether we are Christian, Muslim, Jewish or other, and when the military leaves power and we have a government, it should be better because we can have honest and open dialogue.”

His belief in the power of the Egyptian population tends to be the majority among the Baha’i community, who has long struggled against persecution and a lack of media awareness. They argue that the revolution is continuing and if needed, Hossam said he would join tomorrow any demonstration.

“But we need to have a movement that is for all Egypt, not just one side. This is important. The military must go, but we must all have our rights and the media needs to start talking about all people in this country, including us Baha’is,” he argued.

    Dear Vafa,
If it was really so easy to investigate the truth by visiting the official baha’i website then by now many of the Israelis Jewish brothers would have accepted Hossein Ali Nari as the manifestation of God. It is not so easy. Your official website is not blocked in Israel where your world center is located. But our Jewish Brothers are not able to investigate the truth. On a daily basis they see the Shrine of Bob and your magnanimous buildings but they cannot come to the conclusion that these guys Bob and Baha are the manifestations of God. The return of Jewish Messiah. It is not so easy. I just want to tell the readers to be like the Jewish Brothers, the truth is clear for them. For them there is no need for any Website or any Beautiful Building or any beautiful writing or any beautiful GIRL ;-) . Just use your brains take lessons in this regard from the Israelis.

Thank you for asking the readers and everyone else to investigate abouth the Baha’i beliefs and principles.
As AbdulBaha stated: “To be a Baha’i simply means to love all the world; to love humanity and try to serve it; to work for universal peace and universal brotherhood.”
This is what the Baha’i Faith is all about, and what every Baha’i strives to achieve.Any lies, rumours, or propoganda material people try to attach to the Baha’is has never, and will never fly. There is 169 years of detailed documented history worldwide to prove it. You can research it on the internet, google “Baha’i Faith”

My dear Hafian Baha’i friend Vafa,

You only claim that I am speaking lie. Show me what is Lie… correct me… please for the sake of Hosein Ali Nari

I said the Baha’i Admin System collects money from poor Baha’is and gives this to ABMs, Counsellors, ITC members and UHJ members. This is true.
I said Hosein Ali was an Ugly man, very ugly. This is true.
I said you people speak half truth. This is true.
You said nobody know those individuals, that is absolutely false. Just google the name of any one and you will understand who knows them and how does not know them.

You people are working against Islam. Islam hates you because you are Kafir-i-Harbi. Do you know what that means. For your little mind to understand this term I will give you an example. The Baha’is for Islam is what the Azalis are for Baha’is. Tell me what Baha’u'llah or AB or SE or your UHJ said about the Azalis? Put all the stuff here. Let the readers read it and decide the goodness of your cult. Show the people how the Baha’i cultists killed the Azalis during the earlier period. Show them How Baha’u'llah abused his brother and tried to kill him by poisoning him and how he himself got poisoned with the poison. Tell the people about the Baha’i sects. Let them know that Baha’ism is a Socio Political Cult that is a very good tool for the imperialists.

I request the governments of all the countries to monitor the activities of this dangerous NWO cult.

I am against the persecution of Baha’is and I am also against the deceptive conversion activities of Baha’is.

  • Vafa

    To: Badi
You are obviously a sworn enemy of the Baha’is. You obviously have no respect for Human Rights.  You obviously are a member of the Khamenei / Hezbollah Fan Club and being funded by them.  Please have some dignity and stop using age age old rumors / conspiracy theories / lies to confuse the readers. Only the uneducated & ignorant minority may believe your propoganda, websites, books, and youtube fantasies produced and funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran.  You are truly wasting peoples time with your long boring outdated list of lies.  “Truthfulness is the foundation of all Human Virtues”.  LOVE will conquer all, not your hatred. Every peace loving , educated, non-fanatic person on the planet knows that.  You obviously love to promote hate & Lies.  I really feel sorry for your kind, and will pray that God may guide you to the right path.

    • Badi

      Dear Vafa,

Why you consider me an enemy. I am only saying you the truth. Tell me what is wrong or baseless in my comments? This is the Haifan Baha’i Tactic to call everybody as a Funded IRI Agent or an hardcore muslim fundamentalist. This is what is taught to the Baha’is by their Persian counselors and ABMs. The Baha’i faith will fall very soon, they have already shifted their religion from a full-fledged religion into a Social Group, that sings, dances and enjoys with girls. Tell me is Juan Cole is being paid by the IRI, Who is Fredrick Glaysher? Who pays him? Who is Wahid Azal? who pays him? Who is Eric Statson? who pays him? Who is Steve Marshall, who pays him? Who is Alison Marshal? who pays him? who is Sen Glinn? Who is Marangella? Who is Neal chase? are all these people paid by the IRI? You Haifans are the biggest liars and hypocrites like your leaders Shoghi, Abbas and Hossein Ali.

      • Vafa-Canada

        To Badi:
Why don’t you read your own comments on this sight first, and see how much hatered, lies, and individual attack is in every sentence. This news article is about Human Rights. It is not about a bunch of unknown people you have listed above. Nobody knows them, and no one cares to know things about strangers, unless they have something positive to contribute to society at large. Something that will benefit mankind without prejudice and hatered. I have better things to do with my life, such as serving humanity. Why do you constantly try to attack the Baha’is and spread hatered, propoganda, and lies on public websites. Every inteligent and educated person can see with their own eyes and hear with their own ears and search for the truth. Everything you need to know abouth the Baha’i Faith is on the internet.  They dont need to be fed all your false propoganda funded by the Khamenei/Hezbollah fan club.

  • Jose Hidalgo

here is the thing.. aholes do so many bad things in the of “god”, whether Baha’is are a real religion of god or not, is god’s problem, not Muslims fanatics, at least the few Baha’is i know respect me and treat me with tolerance, unlike Muslims and Christians, don’t accept the fact that an atheist don’t believe in nonsense like their book and their savior or so call “last prophet”, I rather have all the world under the Baha’i faith that the nonsense preach by the Muslims and the christian clergy.

1- Conversion through education and personal judgment sounds great to me. in islam i remember if you were not converted you will get kill or your rights are taken away + you go to hell. in Christianity no difference, history is there + you go to hell + got to keep your distance from those who are heretics.

2- Baha’is are suppose to abide by the law of the land. is their duty, their holy Law.

3- Again, Baha’is do not force anyone to look for salvation on their writings, as baha’is they present something to you, you either accepted or you rejected, what ever your choice, all of the Baha’is in the world CHOOSE to be Baha’is, they are not born within the religion or force to be part of it.

4- they write Baha’i on the cards so that you can know that as Baha’is they respect all and every of the prophets, without any preference, and that they as Rumi said, pray to the same god of Abraham.

5- Dangerous!!??? what do you know? the baha’i elections are the most truthful in any government or religion, power to the people, no to fanatics and extremist, the LSA’s and the NSA’s are a smart way to never get a Hitler, Muvarak, Admadenihad, Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chaves, Fidel Castro, Francisco Franco, in power again, to me there is nothing more logical than this, Schopenhauer said once “an idea is first ridiculousness, later is accepted and then becomes common sense.”

6- also they believe that Mohammed is the manifestation of god too and Baha’u'llah is a messenger too, either way i don’t care whether they are the manifestations of Zeus, or Dionysus or pan, or Anubis, what i care is what they do with that influence, seems like Muslims only know to fight and act if they are the only ones with the truth, Baha’is at least know tolerance.

7- Baha’is don’t treat covenant breaker badly, they are only ask to ignore them, unlike muslims or christians, if you are infidel or covenant breaker,  you are not going just going to hell, but you deserve death and punishments and torture.

8-Baha’ism is open for anyone to judge and discuss, but is also open for who ever want to respected and tolerate it.

Badi, I hope one day you get to understand that not everything is what your mullah or priest says, but that is actually own judgment, who knows maybe one day you’ll realize that you don’t need a god to be or to do god, att. Youseff Ali Mohammed.

    • Badi

You are a definitely a Haifan Baha’i Cultist. If you know so much good about Bahaism then what is stopping you from becoming a Baha’i. Accept this cult become a Baha’i nobody is going to kill you. OK.

But all that you said is crap, even you know that – and this is the reason that your sister is a Baha’i and you are not!

All the crap that you wrote here has been answered by me. Read all of my comments here.

      Happy fasting and good bye!

      • Jose Hidalgo

hehe i don’t become Baha’i because i don’t believe in fairy tales like fanatics like you do, unlike  you, I’m a realistic and objective person. i’m sure you are of those who hates the Baha’is because you can’t have a  salary or a position in their in LSA, sad, sad, grown up lil boy grown up, if you want power and money, look somewhere else because the Baha’is will not give it to you..

        • Badi

You will never become a Baha’i because you know the fact that God is beautiful and He loves the beautiful things. And this Guy Hosein Baha is such an Ugly person and it is purely non-sense to believe that the Creator of all the Beautiful Things will choose such an Ugly face to manifest Himself. Totally illogical. I bring this argument, because you call yourself an athiest. And I have enough money to feed myself. My family do not eat from the contributions of poor Baha’is. FYI the Members of the Haifan UHJ receive huge amounts as Salaries for their lavish lifestyles, and this money is collected from the poors of India, Nepal, Iran and Africa. Shame….

          • Vafa-Canada

            To:  Badi
Again, here you go on and on and on attacking individuals and organisations with your hatered and lies. Your baseless arguments are so pathetic that an inteligent person would not waste time to try argue back, because it seems there is no space for love in your heart.  It is a pity that you spend so much of your energy spreading lies, propoganda, and rumours, funded by the Khamenei / Hezbollah Fan club.  You must be a rich man by now.  Money wont get you anywhere if there is not a trace of TRUTH to your words and actions.

    1) clear away the garbage in the streets
    2) improve the quality of life for those around you
    3) better the situation for women, children and animals
and so on and so on….
Now THAT would be an achievement. Tz tz tz….

The Bahá’ís are not hiding anything from anyone. They have always been open in their beliefs and in their teaching. The Bahá’í community was a founding NGO of the United Nations. It’s teaching and books are all published and available for free online. Anyone can clearly read what they believe on Wikipedia or on their official sites. They are persecuted solely for their faith as this article points out, especially in Iran. They have not committed any crimes here. It’s a law within the Bahá’í Faith that they must be obedient to the government in which they live.
The point here is that governments should not be legislating on faith. According to the Declaration of Human Rights, everyone is free to worship with freedom from persecution. Anyone who actually knows Bahá’ís will know they are open, friendly, loving, and selfless. There are, however, certain people who attack this faith and others out of fear or spite. It’s mostly motivated by ignorance.
Readers of the post below should be aware that Badi is likely not a Muslim, but an Azali. Their purpose in life seems to be mere opposition. Who’s being deceptive here?

    • Muhammad al_irahim

What is azali? by the way, i find some truth in badi.

      • Steven Varner

Dear Muhammad, Badi didn’t actually present any factual evidence. All we had was his claim that a messenger is supposed to be pretty. Many people in the Middle East are not actually familiar with what Bahá’ís actually believe. Bahá’ís are not asking for anyone to become a Bahá’í who doesn’t want to. They are simply asking everyone to think of humanity as one human family and to work together collectively in peace to create a better world.
In actual fact, Bahá”u’llah was not ugly. His passport photo was, however, taken after years of torture and imprisonment, and soon after his power-hungry half-brother Subh-i-Azal poisoned him.
In April 1890, the famous Middle East scholar, Professor Edward Granville Browne of Cambridge University,
met Bahá’u’lláh in four successive interviews. Professor Browne wrote of
his first meeting: “The face of Him on Whom I gazed I can never forget,
though I cannot describe it. Those piercing eyes seemed to read one’s
very soul; power and authority sat on that ample brow.… No need to ask
in whose presence I stood, as I bowed myself before one who is the
object of a devotion and love which kings might envy and emperors sigh
for in vain.” During the interview Bahá’u'lláh said, “… That all nations should become one in faith and all men as
brothers; that the bonds of affection and unity between the sons of men
should be strengthened; that diversity of religion should cease, and
differences of race be annulled — what harm is there in this? … Yet so
it shall be; these fruitless strifes, these ruinous wars shall pass
away, and the ‘Most Great Peace’ shall come.… Let not a man glory in
this, that he loves his country; let him rather glory in this, that he
        loves his kind.”

      • Badi

        Dear Muhammad,

Thank you for your comment. To learn more about the Azali faith please google Bayani Community and learn more. The True Babi faith is the Azali faith and not the Baha’i cult that has nothing to do with spirituality. They just want members who contribute money to maintain those huge gardens of Haifa which are a source of huge income for the zionist regime of Israel.

It was Baha’u'llah who wanted to poison his own brother Subh-i-Azal but you know the tradition of prophet Mohammed (s.a.w.) which states : One who digs a pit for his brother, falls in himself.

The poison that was meant for Subh-i-Azal affected this so called manifestation of god. If you want to learn more about this incident then please read from the Bayani Sources. The Haifan Baha’is have changed everything, they are making fool of innocent people under various slogans like unity, equality and such other good terms.

Please go to youtube and type Baha’i sects and see the video on various sects of Baha’is.

The Baha’u'llah was not at all beautiful and the poison did not effected his face but it affected his stomach and hands. Till the time he died his hand were shivering due to his own poison.

There are 3-4 different pictures of Baha’u'llah on wikipedia. See yourself.

Regarding Prof. Browne please read this :

Samuel G. WIlson who was a christian scholar in persia has written much on the works of Prof. Browne that the Baha’is hide from common people, he writes

The Baha’is showed great hatred and animosity against the Shias of Persia, abuse and revile them and heap maledictions and curses upon them. These evil feelings are shown specially against the Mullahs and the rulers. The Baha’i historians indulge so much in diatribes and maledictions that Professor Browne wearies of translating them and omits pages of abuse.
        (New History, pp. 320 f, 281, 289.)

Prof. Browne inspite of meeting with Baha’u'llah
did not accepted him to be the ‘Manifestation of God’. On the contrary
he published the book of Hájjí Mírzá Jání Káshání, that shows the
real face of terrorist Baha’is of that time. This book will be available in
english by the end of this year, Insha-Allah.

Google the QUOTED term and read the article
“Today is the Birthday of Baha’u'llah”

Edward G. Browne also states in his annotated volume of ‘A Traveller’s Narrative’ Written to Illustrate the Episode of the Bab, “All prominent supporters of Subh-i-Azal who withstood Mirza Husayn Ali’s claims were marked out for death, and in Baghdad Mulla Rajab Ali “Kahir” and his brother, Hajji Mirza Ahmad, Hajji Mirza Muhammad Reza, and several others fell one by one to the knife or bullet of the assassin”. The prominent Azalis were killed by the Baha’u'llah’s goons.

To Badi:   You are obviously a sworn enemy of the Baha’is.  You are also obviously a member of, and funded by the Khamenei / Hezbollah Fan Club. You also show no respect for Human Rights. You dwell in age, age old rumors/conspiracy theories and lies that are so boring and outdated.  It is unfortunate that people like you are so blinded to the Truth, that actually spend their time on trying to misguide others with your youtube fantasies.

“Truthfullness is the foundation of all Human Virtues”.  There is no truth in any of your misguided comments above.  “Good deeds, Good thoughts, and Good actions” would be a good way of living, rather than your utter hatered towards innocent people.

United nations is a tool in the hands of so called super powers. It is a body that is used by the Big countries to control the poor nations. What good UN has done in Afghanistan and what has it done in Iraq? Like united nations your cult is also a tool in the hands of big powers. It serves their interests so they support it. Why the parliaments of these Big countries support you and does not support the Palestinian cause?
And you cannot escape so easily by calling me an Azali. Reply to my comments. Let the people know what wrong I have written?

    Dear Badi,
There are several inaccuracies in your post.
    1) Baha’is are persecuted for merely being Baha’i.  A primary example is in Iran.  Among the many services Baha’is provide for community development is spiritual/moral education of children and junior youth.  These are NOT indoctrination or conversion classes.  Children are taught about virtues that are universally found within ALL religions.  In our children’s’ class, they learn about Mohammed (PBUH) as well and the virtues demonstrated in His teachings.  The junior youth classes are about empowering the youth to take positive action in their local community.  They are mentored to consider what the needs of the community are and to develop programs that will serve the community.  By doing this the youth realize that they can develop programs and contribute to society in a positive fashion.

    2) Again, you are either not well-informed about Baha’i persecution or are willfully ignoring it.  Let’s take Egypt as an example.  As I understand, it wasn’t long ago that Baha’is couldn’t get identification paperwork that is crucial for work, etc. just because it wouldn’t allow them to identify as Baha’i.  Try to imagine the same thing happening, but this time replace the name with Muslim. How would that impact you?  Empathy is the beginning of understanding – try it sometime.

    3) Baha’is are NOT being deceptive by teaching children’s classes and junior youth classes.  Did you know that even a child born in a Baha’i family MUST study religion as an individual and come to their own conclusion as to which to follow (or not follow)?  Your statement of pushing children to convert, etc. is ludicrous and uninformed.

    4) It seems like you have studied something of the Baha’i faith, though cursory.  Again, put yourself in the place of a Baha’i by imagining that the only option on the list were Jewish and Christian — would you, as a Muslim, chose one of those (also people of the Book) or insist on adding Muslim as a choice?

    5) You obviously have no understanding of the administrative order of the Baha’i Faith or its intentions.  Your conspiracy/world domination fear is unwarranted.

    6)  LOL – calling Baha’u'llah a Manifestation of God and Prophet of God are one in the same.  One reason we use the term Manifestation of God because the word Prophet has become so poorly used.  For example, the distinction between a Nabi and a Rasool is hardly ever brought up — though it is very important.  Once we translate those two terms to English, they become the same thing “Prophet” and this leads to horrible misunderstandings.

    7) LOL – Yes, we ignore covenant breakers.  We don’t persecute them however.

    8) Apparently, you haven’t read any history about the (as you call it) “Mullah” ruling system in Iran.

    • Badi

      Dear Abdul1844
I am sorry to say that, you are again deceiving.

      1) You are wrong, go to youtube and search for the video of Baha’i counselor Gloria Javid and listen to her talks.

      2) Are the Baha’is beggers in Egypt. They are more rich and more prosperous and regularly appearing on various TV channels and presenting their points. But the thing is they talk half truth and again deception. They are not persecuted anywhere in the world only for their beliefs. As per your sources in Iran there are more than 3 millions Baha’is. How many are in Prison, tell me? I want exact figure with proofs.

      3) I have answered this in my first point. Kindly check the Video and come back.

      4) Muslims do not believe all the prophets to be equal in status. But Baha’is believe as they say.

      5) I understand that better than you. Because I am not a Haifan Baha’i. I have  read all the rubbish of Shoghi Effendi and his dream to rule (guide???) the world from Haifa. Google “Baha’i World Government”, read the article then come back to me.

      6) No it is not same. If it was same then you guys would have used the word prophet for Baha’u'llah. But it is extremely different. He is not a Messenger or Prophet, he is considered as a ‘Manifestation’ and at many places Baha’u'llah calls himself as God which never ever any prophet called himself like that. He was inclined to Sufism and so he had that idea some times a ‘son of Being’, some sime the ‘wronged one’, sometime a ‘servant’ and some times ‘God’ and some times ‘Gods of God’. I can prove this if you have doubt.

      7) There are tens of stories of persecution done bu Baha’is on the Internet. The moderator does not allow to put me links, otherwise I would have given you some links. Read this what Baha’u'llah says regarding those who left the Baha’i faith :

By God, the Truth, whomsoever criticizes it [i.e. Baha'ism],
[which is] possessed of the manifest, the brilliant, the high and the
perspicuous excellence, it behoveth him to ask his mother [yanbaghi lahu bi-an yas'al min ummihi] about his origins [or 'state', i.e.'hal', meaning he should inquire his mother about his legitimate conception – trans.], for he shall return to the nethermost hell [asfal al-jahim]“…
O God! Whomsoever violates My Covenant, O God, humiliate him. Verily whosoever violates My Covenant, erase and efface him.8) There is no need to study the History to understand the Administrative System of Baha’i Cult. It is clear, that the UHJ is to be obeyed unquestionably. They are considered collectively to be Infallible and their decisions are considered to be inspired by God when they sit altogether on that Round Table, under that Dome in Haifa. How stupid it is to believe in this? They release those boring messages and then it is read throughout the world and in such a way, that some fundamentalist Baha’is think that this message is from GOD Himself. The ABMs and Counselors spy on individual Baha’is.

The Baha’is are very suspicious people. There activities should be very minutely monitored. There is some incomplete information regarding the Baha’i faith here kindly correct :
    1) The Baha’is are not persecuted anywhere in the world just because to their beliefs. There are so many people in the world who believe in strange things, no body bothers to persecute them for their beliefs. The main problem lies when these type of minorities try to disobey the laws of their lands. For Instance, the Baha’is who were caught teaching the innocent children and junior youth under the garb of Moral – spiritual Education and under various programmed for empowering women and Junior Youth. They were converting them to Baha’i religion where the deceptive conversion is Lawfully banned for eg. in India, Egypt, Iran, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia etc. – When they are caught in illegal activities of conversion, the come with the support of HR organizations and complain of persecution.

    2) As for struggling to find a place in any society – I would like to say they are equal members of the society, there are so many well qualified Baha’is in egypt living a peaceful and dignified life. Look as Dr. Basma Mousa and Dr. Hindi. What is the problem to them? What kind of persecution they are facing. If you have a clean record and you obey the law there is no problem.

    3) In every country somethings are unlawful and deceptive conversion is banned is many countries not just Egypt. Just Imagine some Christians going to Israel and converting the Jews to Christianity deceptively, with they tolerate?

    4) Baha’is believe all the religion are from the same source and all religions are equal and Mohammed, Jesus and Moses are all the same ‘sun’ that Baha’u'llah is. There is no difference in ‘Sun’. Sun is only one but it appears in different times so it is the same sun but a new sun of today. And Baha’u'llah is the Sun of today, he is the same spirit. What is the problem if they write that they are the followers of Jesus or Moses on their I-Cards. Why they want to insist on writing the Baha’i? This is contradictory to their beliefs.

    5) The Baha’is are working to bring a New World Order under the ‘guardianship’ of Universal House of Justice in Haifa. This is very dangerous. They have formed the LSAs and NSAs in different countries and this is their belief that these very NSAs will be the Future Parliaments of that country and these parliaments will obey the orders of Haifan UHJ sitting in Haifa. DANGEROUS

    6) Muslims believe that Mohammed is the Messenger or Prophet of God. But Baha’is never say that Baha’u'llah what the Prophet or Messenger. They believe that Baha’u'llah is the ‘Manifestation of God’. You can see his picture (Photograph) and decide yourself, if you can believe this man to be MANIFESTATION OF THE CREATOR OF ALL THE BEAUTYFUL THINGS.

    7) Al-Azhar gave the right verdict. The Baha’is are Blasphemous. Even some people are considered as infidels among the Baha’is. The Baha’is also believe in the concept of infidelity and they treat the ‘Covenant Breakers’ (Kuffar) very badly.

    8) Baha’ism is a very suspicious ‘New World Order’ Cult. Be aware, it is much more dangerous than the ‘Mullah’ ruling system of Iran.

Utter nonsense. In civilised countries people should be allowed to convert to whatever religion they choose or choose to have no religion at all. If the UK decided to ban muslims from trying to convert people to islam muslims around teh world would be screaming islamophobia, issuing deat threats and the OIC would be up in arms at the UN – but when predominately muslim countries ban conversion from islam hardly anybody says anything.

My dear every body knows what Islam is, then they are free if they want to accept it. But if you don’t know anything about a cult and the cult member deceives you by fake ideas and fake principals, then that is a problem and I am talking about that. I request Baha’is to tell the people all the truth about their cult, then let the people decide. Let the normal people know that Baha’u'llah abused his own brother to the worst extent that a normal people will never do. Let the people know that Baha’u'llah is such an ugly person, show his pictures to normal people and let them decide if this is GOD’S MANIFESTATION?. Let the people learn about various Baha’i sects. Tell the people that this cult wants to rule the whole world by establishing the new world order. Let the people learn that Men and Women are not absolutely equal in Baha’i cult. Let them know that Women cannot be a member of supreme UHJ. Tell the people, those stupid ideas of infallibility of UHJ. Tell them about various funds and Huququllah, tell them about sexual harassment by the ABMs and Counselors. Them them about financial scams and Election Scams. THEN LET THEM DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO CHOOSE THIS CULT. OK NO PROBLEM.

So who are you to say that Islam is not blasphemous?  I am a Christian and Islam blasphemes my Religion and my God, but does that give me the right to attack and oppress Muslims?  Islam is not a Religion, it is a Cult of domination and death and does not tolerate freedom of speech and beliefs.
The Bahai faith is a beautiful faith in many ways and although I don’t subscribe to their beliefs, I  believe they should be allowed the right to have their own beliefs and own faith in peace.

      • Badi

You are not Christian, you are a Baha’i. I have good experience with Baha’is. If Baha’u'llah is so pleasing to you and his cult is so beautiful then why don’t you accept him? What is the problem?

Only ignorant people like the Salafist leader Abdel Moneim al-Shahat, as in the news article above, will believe your scare-mongering lies and propoganda funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran. Tell me what is your true allegiance?  What religion do you beielve in and who is your leader/prophet?  You have attacked the Baha’is enough with your lies and rumours. You have tried to spread only hatered on this site without any respect for human rights.  Not that any inteligent human being will believe any of it.   Now what is your belief??

    Ah! Islam! The tolerant religion!

Of course we Salafists will “tolerate” you, as long as you do exactly as we tell you.

Stalinist Russia, Nazi Germany and Medieval Christianity all espoused doctrines which tolerated no differences or criticism. Opponents or those of different belief who did not recant or flee were subjected to anything from exile to death; their assets were seized or torched.

Anyone seeing anything similar here in the behaviour of the Salafists?

The horror and falsity of the aforementioned doctrines is of course easily discerned once they are subjected to rational, detached analysis. It is no coincidence that preachers of extremist religion, such as Salafists (and the ayatollahs of Iran), also allow no criticism, debate or difference of opinion. To permit such would not only expose the falsity of their opinion, but undermine their grip on power. North Korea (modern Stalinism) and Shia-controlled Iran demonstrate the style of regime in store for Egyptians once religious rather than democratic secular parties collude to form government.

    What happened to the revolution?

It is a shame. That persecution is against islamic principles. Do they know? They should read the Koran!!!
